Voor de Montessori-Pierson Publishing Company (MPPC) en de Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) maak ik The Montessori Series. De oude versie bestond uit 15 delen in de Engelse taal. Intussen zijn die allemaal in een nieuw jasje gestoken en kwamen er zelfs nog een 7-tal bij. Waarvan 2 boeken over meetkunde (Psychogeometry) en rekenkunde (Psychoaritmetic). Beide boeken zijn gebaseerd op de Spaanse versies gepubliceerd in 1934, aangevuld met handgeschreven aantekeningen van Maria Montessori en werden vertaald en herzien door Professor Benedetto Scoppola van de Roma Tor Vertgata University en Kay M. Baker, Ph.D., AMI Director of Elementary Training. Het waren pittige klussen die de professoren hoofdbrekens kostten. Ze bevatten veel tekeningen (Geometry 285 en Psychoarithmetic 335) om het meet- en rekenkundige Montessori materiaal uit te leggen. Ook voor mij was het een uitdaging en was het een monnikenwerk om al die tekeningen precies uit te voeren.

oorspronkelijke boekje is slechts 11 x 8 cm en met potlood geschreven.
Alexander Henny
Alexander Mario Henny is the great-grandson of Maria Montessori. He was born in 1947 as the second son of Marilena Montessori, the eldest grandchild of Maria Montessori. Many descendants from Maria Montessori have been active in the Montessori movement. He has been a Board member of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI, founded by Maria Montessori in 1929) since 2002. For eight years he served on the Board and on the Executive Committee, the Strategic Planning Committee and the Communications Committee of AMI. He is also function on the Editorial Board of the AMI Journal. In 2007 he started as director the Montessori-Pierson Publishing Company, owned by all the eleven Montessori’s great-grandchildren, in order to publish Maria Montessori’s works and to spread her literary legacy all over the world. The Montessori-Pierson Publishing Company published 24 books in English, 3 books in Dutch and 13 books in Spanish.
